Cook the spaghetti pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook until the garlic is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
Remove the skillet from the heat and add the cooked spaghetti pasta to the skillet with the garlic and oil.
Toss everything together until the pasta is coated in the oil and garlic.
Season the pasta with salt and pepper, to taste.
Add the chopped parsley to the skillet and toss to combine.
Serve hot, with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
