Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces spaghetti pasta
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Cook the spaghetti pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
  • While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook until the garlic is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and add the cooked spaghetti pasta to the skillet with the garlic and oil.
  • Toss everything together until the pasta is coated in the oil and garlic.
  • Season the pasta with salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Add the chopped parsley to the skillet and toss to combine.
  • Serve hot, with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
