Ingredients

  • 1 pound of gnocchi

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1 can (28 ounces) of crushed tomatoes

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano

  • 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes

  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  • Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions until they float to the surface of the water.
  • Drain and set aside.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
  • Pour in the crushed tomatoes and season with salt, black pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
  • Bring to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  • Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
